Draft Rules
On the day of the draft, a new option for your draft becomes available in the League Menu:
It's time for the draft! The new menu option takes you to Draft Rules page, where you can define how your draft should work:
You can return to other areas of the game at any time to look up other information, but OOTP will not let you advance the game date past the draft date as long as you are controlling a team. (Commissioners who aren't controlling a team can sim right through a draft, and the computer will make all of the necessary selections.)
In addition, depending on the draft, there may be the following additional options, which are described in detail on other pages of the manual:
Commissioners can adjust the order of the draft by choosing teams from the drop-downs on the right side of the page. By default, changes to the order of the draft only affect the round currently displayed. However, you can click the Use current order for all remaining rounds button to preserve your selected order throughout the draft. You can also use the Random Draft Order to randomize the order.
Additionally, you can also check the Draft Order page to review the detailed draft order for all rounds of the draft.
