All-Star Games

Some leagues have all-star games scheduled in mid-season; the League Edit screen also allows you to configure these games yourself.

Available Game Formats:

  • Red vs. Blue: The default format, with two teams drafted from the league's best players.
  • Conference vs. Conference: Teams represent each of the league's conferences. (Note that if the league does not have exactly 2 conferences, the Red vs. Blue format will be used instead)
  • Defending League Champion vs. Rest of League: historic NHL format, also used in a few other places, where last season's champion plays an all-star team from the other teams in the league
  • Multileague Game: allows all-star games to be played between two separate leagues (note: the "partner" league cannot already have an all-star game set up)
  • Prospects Game: the format used by the three Canadian Hockey League junior leagues (WHL/OHL/QMJHL), where the players are chosen from all three leagues in a "Red vs. Blue" format
  • Local vs. World: a team of players whose birthplace is in league's Region (if there is none, the league's nation will be used ) vs. players from everywhere else in the world

Other Options

  • One Player Per Team: every team in the league must have at least one player in the game
  • Use Skill Competition: before the game, you will receive a message describing the results of the pregame Skill Competition
